Square pass can easily beat your opponents defenders. Try implementing this tactic in EA FIFA 08 or EA EURO 08. Square pass works best with 4-4-2 formation. Generally three players are used in this pass. The passing rule is 1 -> 2, 2 ->3, 3 ->1.....My favorite formation 4-3-1-2. I will explain the square pass in this formation.
RB -> RCM, RCM -> RB, RB -> RS, RS -> either RB or RCM
case (i) RS -> RB
a) RB -> CF (left Unmarked)
b) RB -> RS, RS -> CF
case (ii) RS -> RCM
a) RCM -> RB, RB -> CF
b) RCM -> RS, RS -> CF
same is the case for left wing. LCM, RCM must be good wingers. If you are using spain, Joaquin, Silva or Xavi, vicente will do. For france Ribery and Malouda. CF must be a target man (Rooney, Henry). RS, LS must be a speedster (Torres).. I will try to clearly explain this with pictures.Note: All the passes given must be a give and go pass!!!!

Either give long pass or through ball. You can also go for a shot if the line is clear

This is 90% of exact square pass tactic. I haven't pictorially explained the second case.. but we can easily figure it out...
